Waw-wil-a-way DAR holds first meeting

The Waw-wil-a-way Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution had their first meeting of the year on Saturday, Mach 5 led by new Regent Hannah Rach.

Pat Young presented the program on Bacone College, Muskogee, Okla., to the 18 members and guests that were present. Bacone is a four-year liberal arts college founded in 1880 as the first Native American university with ties to the Cherokee and Creek nations. It is one of the many schools the DAR helps support.

DAR is a women’s service organization which includes ladies of all ethnic origins who trace ancestry to American Revolutionary patriots. For information call Tonia Edwards, registrar, 513-578-4911.
