On Sunday, April 3, the Cincinnati Children’s Choir will perform as part of the Music At St. Mary’s Concert Series.

The choir is a non-profit organization celebrating nearly a quarter of a century serving young singers from Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. Each year, over 1,000 Greater Cincinnati children in grades one throughc 12 benefit from this educational venue focusing on performance as a result of the children’s education. Presently, the program involves children in seven resident choirs, 12 satellite choirs, the summer festival choir, and the Cincinnati Public School Honor Choir.

The Cincinnati Children’s Choir became ensemble-in-residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in August 2001. The CCM is recognized as one the world’s finest conservatories. With the residency, the choir regularly collaborates with the CCM Music Education Division, the CCM Opera Department, and the CCM Division of Ensembles and Conducting and continues to build upon the rich history of the former CCM Children’s Choir, founded in 1983 by Dr. Karen Wolff.

Music At St. Mary’s presents concerts of various genres at no admission charge. Opportunity is presented at the end of each concert for freewill donations. Most concerts are followed by a reception. The concert will begin at 3 p.m.
