Ninety-Three members of the Hillsboro Middle School eighth grade class toured Washington, D.C. and Gettysburg, Pa. from April 6-8. While in Washington, D.C. students visited the U.S. Capitol, National Archives, Library of Congress, White House, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial, FDR Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, World War II Memorial, The National Cathedral, The MLK Memorial, Smithsonian of Air and Space, Smithsonian of American History, The Marine Memorial and Ford’s Theatre. Students participated in a wreath ceremony while at Arlington National Cemetery. On the return trip students toured The battlefields at Gettysburg, Pa.
