The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:
Sept. 11
INCIDENT
At 10:43 p.m., the police department received a 911 call from a shift manager at a business in the 1400 block of North High Street. The manager stated that he was just robbed by a male. The caller advised that the suspect came toward him with what he believed to be a knife. The suspect grabbed the money bag, took off running toward Harry Sauner Road and last seen heading toward Walmart.
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Arthur Joseph Spring, 56, of Massillon, was cited for failure to control and failure to file application for registration.
ACCIDENTS
At 10:18 a.m. the police department responded to a report of a two-car crash on North High Street. Both Randy Dryer of Peebles and Wayne Holt of Franklin were traveling north on North High Street when Holt stopped for traffic and Dryer’s vehicle struck Holt’s vehicle due to a break line failure, causing minor damage and no reported injuries. Dryer was cited for assured clear distance.
INCIDENT
At 10:02 p.m., the police department received a call from a business in the 500 block of Harry Sauner Road in reference to an individual who had previously trespassed there and was not to be on the property. Tyrone Huston, 26, of Martinsville was located in the store, arrested for criminal trespassing, and was transported to the Highland County Jail.
Sept. 15
INCIDENT
At 5:15 a female came in to police station to report her vehicle had been stolen from in front of her residence in the 200 block of East Walnut Street. Upon investigation it was determined who had stolen the vehicle and it had been involved in a crash. Joshua J, Hall, 30, of Hillsboro, was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and was transported to the Highland County Jail.
