March madness recently came to McClain High School when more than 30 local youth teams from south-central Ohio battled to earn a McDonald’s Classic Tournament Championship title.
The tournament was held March 4-6, with fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade girls and boys teams competing.
Three Highland County teams earned titles in their respective divisions. Earning McDonald’s Classic Championship honors were the Greenfield fourth-grade girls and the Lynchburg fifth-grade girls. The Greenfield boys fourth-grade squad finished as runners up in the boys fourth-grade division.
The Tiger Youth Basketball Organization would like to thank the tournament’s primary sponsor, McDonald’s of Greenfield, the McClain High School administration and Athletic Department, and the more than 100 volunteers for their support of the tournament and local youth.
