The Highland District Hospital Medical Staff Executive Committee changed hands effective July 1, 2017.
The officers are snow Chief of Staff Dr. Julie Karnes, Vice Chief of Staff Dr. Regina Melink, Secretary/Treasurer Dr. Jeffrey Beery, Chief of Medicine Dr. Anthony Wetherington, and Chief of Surgery Dr. Linda Welder.
Highland District Hospital’s medical staff is comprised of over 100 physicians, eight certified nurse practitioners, and seven physician assistants. The expansion of care and services at Highland District Hospital has led to growth within the medical staff; however, the vision for care remains to the same.
“We see Highland District Hospital as a mainstay in this community. As individual providers of health care, we have been committed to this hospital for many years. Our job is to make sure that the focus of HDH remains the needs of our community, and that access to great care continues for everyone,” said Karnes.
Highland District Hospital would like to recognize Dr. Ron Zile, who served two terms as active chief of staff, for his pioneering vision in leading the organization and applauds his exemplary efforts and commitment to the community.
