


The McClain Tigers hosted the Adam Sharp Memorial at Buckeye Hills Country Club on Tuesday. The tournament featured boys and girls golf teams from Hillsboro, McClain, Logan, and Fairfield. Miami Trace, Washington, Chillicothe, Unioto, and North Adams also participated in the boys tournament.
On the ladies side of the tournament the Hillsboro High School Lady Indians took home first place with a team score of 403. The Lady Indians were led by Kristen Jamieson who shot a 70, Emily Louden with a score of 93, Mallory Parsons who carded a 114, and Larkyn Parry who finished with a score of 126.
The host McClain Lady Tigers took second place with a cumulative score of 437.The Lady Tigers were led by Kendall Pollard who shot a 103, Erika Martin who shot a 107, Bryn Karnes with a score of 108, and Bri Weller who shot a 119.
The Logan Lady Chieftains took home third place with a team score of 445, and the Farifield Lady Lions were fourth with a team score of 508.
On the boys side the Unioto Shermans placed first with a team score of 314, they were followed by the North Adams Green Devils in second place with a final score of 330.
The host McClain Tigers placed third in the tournament with a total score of 391. The Tigers were led by Trevor Newkirk who carded an 86 on the day, Kobe Penwell who finished with a 93, Trenton Newkirk who had a 99, and Caleb Pointer who finished with a final score of 113.
The Hillsboro Indians finished the day in sixth place out of nine team with a total team score of 454. The Indians were led by Will Keifer who finished with a 93, Gavin Puckett who had a 106, Gabe MyCroft with a 118, and Ryan Harless who had a final score of 137.
The Fairfield Lions finished in eighth place with a final team score of 467. The Lions were led by R. Donley with a score of 105, B. Vidourek who carded a 114, W. Willey who had a score of 123, and B. Simmons who finished with a score of 125.
The Lady Indians open Frontier Athletic Conference play at home tomorrow, at the Hillsboro Elks Golf Course, against the visiting team from Jackson.
