The Lady Mustangs are coached by Robert Macleod, who has been the coach for all four years that the girls’ golf program has been offered at Lynchburg-Clay High School.

Macleod admits that is has been a rough time since the inception of the program. “It has been a rough three years. We are a beginner team. My goal for these girls is to develop a love of golf and treat it like it is a lifetime activity.”

Macleod is enamored with teaching and views coaching golf as another outlet for him to teach. “Being a teacher I love to teach. This is teaching on a whole other level. What’s fun for me is to see the girls succeed in their own personal goals.”

“We are going to have a fun year, it’s going to be a good year.”, Macleod said.
