Hillsboro Police Department reports


The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Oct. 3


At 2:19 p.m., the police department responded to a crash in the northbound lane of the 400 block of North High Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that Rachel Steele,46, of Hillsboro, was operating a 1997 Jaguar sedan and failed to operate the vehicle with assured cleared distance of the vehicle ahead, a 2007 Ford SUV operated by Rachel Tackett, 33, of Bainbridge. Steele was cited for assured cleared distance.


Jason Michael Strunk, 42, of Hillsboro, failure to appear bench warrant.

Cameron McCohnehea, 20, of Hillsboro, disorderly conduct.

Shaina Stephenson, 26, of Hillsboro, failure to appear bench warrant.

Oct. 10


The police department responded to a three-car non-injury crash in the 1200 block of North High Street. Joshua Adams, 18, of Hillsboro, and Robert Satterfield, 36, of Winchester were both stopped in traffic on North High Street. A 16-year-old male driver of Hillsboro was traveling south on North High Street and failed to see the traffic stopped in front of him. The juvenile was unable to stop in time before striking Satterfield’s vehicle, causing Satterfield’s vehicle to be pushed into the rear of Joshua Adams’ vehicle. Moderate damage was reported. The 16-year-old male was cited for assured clear distance ahead.


Rachel McGuire, 34, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a bench warrant.
