Hillsboro Police Department reports

The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Oct. 14

INCIDENT

At 7:40 p.m., the police department responded to a business in the 500 block of Harry Sauner Road for a report of theft. Upon arrival, a male was detained by employees of the business who wished to pursue charges. Christopher Sanfrey, 26, of Wilmington, was arrested on theft without consent charges and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

Oct. 16

INCIDENT

At 1:42 p.m., the police department responded to the 900 block of North West Street for a report of identity theft.

Oct. 17

ACCIDENT

The police department responded to a non-injury crash on Pea Ridge Road. Jeremy Collins, 27, of Hillsboro, was making a right turn off of North West Street onto Pea Ridge Road and the front bumper of his 1983 Ford went over the yellow line and hit Robin Bone’s 2017 Chevrolet Express.

Oct. 18

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Chelsea Curtis, 27, of Portsmouth, was arrested for possessing drug abuse instruments.

Donald Allen Jr., 41, of Hillsboro was arrested for a bench warrant.

Brian Gillman, 40, of Hillsboro, was arrested for a bench warrant.

Oct. 19

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Theodore Knisley, 37, of Wilmington, was arrested on a bench warrant.

INCIDENT

At 3:37 p.m., the police department initiated a traffic stop in the 300 block of John Street after observing a male passenger in the vehicle who had an outstanding warrant. The male fled on foot through multiple yards, a wooded area, and then into the Highland County Fairgrounds where he was apprehended. Charles Davis, 26, of Hillsboro, was placed under arrest for his outstanding warrant and was charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest and was transported to the Highland County Jail.
