The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

James R. Byers, 33, Columbus, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Ashton Morris, 25, Greenfield, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

INCIDENT

At 5:13 p.m., a female came in to the Hillsboro Police Department advising she had been assaulted by her boyfriend at their residence. The female was brought in by a passerby who witnessed the assault occur in the front yard. After further investigation, it was found that the male, Billy R Hammond Jr., 51, Leesburg, had assaulted the female and threatened her with a camping knife. Hammond was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.
