0

The McClain High School Class of 1958 gathered for its 60-year reunion on Sept. 29.

Twenty six classmates and their guests enjoyed a catered dinner at the Emmanuel Christian Church in Greenfield.

Jack Thompson, class president, gave the welcome followed by the invocation by David Pyle. A special guest, Thelma Coffey, teacher at McClain during their school years, was acknowledged. A tribute to the 40 deceased classmates was shared by Janet Flowers, Carolyn Newland and Sara Hatts.

Recognition was given to Lloyd Boyer, who came the furthest from Florida, and to John Fenner from Las Vegas.

Sara Hatts was acknowledged as living closest to the school at the time of graduation.

A letter was read from a classmate unable to attend. Juanita Newman Highley was recognized as having the most grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

The remainder of the day was spent socializing and enjoying memorabilia from the school days.

Those most energetic concluded the day with a tour of McClain High School.
