The second match of the night saw the Wheelersburg Lady Pirates beat the Westfall Lady Mustangs 1-0 to set up a one versus two matchup in the District Finals on Saturday.
Lynchburg-Clay Head Coach Dennis West talked about the matchup with the Lady Pirates and said, “We have played them a bunch of times over the last three or four years and it has usually been on the district tournament somewhere. They are a good opponent, they are well coached and they always have good athletes. They have got two girls out there this year that are really high scorers, they have a lot of goals. We will have to play well to compete with them. We feel like we are able to do it and we’re confident. When Saturday rolls around we’ll see how that rolls.”
