Main Street closed until Wednesday

Demolition continued Friday on the Parker Hotel in the 100 block of West Main Street in Hillsboro. However, the city announced that due to a delay in commencement of the demolition, West Main Street will now remain closed until Wednesday morning, March 4. The full demolition was supposed to begin Wednesday, but was delayed until Thursday because the back corner of an adjacent building was in poor condition and needed to be stabilized before the demolition continued.
