The Greenfield Police Department has released the following information:
May 15
ACCIDENT
The police department received a 911 transfer from OnStar stating there was a non injury crash at Adena Greenfield Medical Center. Statements were taken.
May 16
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Harley Mussetter, of Greenfield, arrested for theft and persistent disorderly conduct and issued a traffic citation for driving under suspension.
Stephen Taylor, 30, of Batavia, arrested on an indictment for obstruction of official business.
INCIDENT
A caller stated that he had just observed a PT Cruiser seemingly stuck in the ditch in the area of S.R. 28 and the caller was informed that the Ross County Sheriff’s Office would need to be made aware and that they would be contacted. The GPD called the RCSO and it sent a unit that way.
A caller from the 1000 block of Fifth Street advised she believed someone has tried to break into her shed. An investigation is pending.
A caller advised that he had seen a couple juveniles throw a rock at a residence, unoccupied, that was owned by Joy Smith, and that the rock caused some damage to the window and was still sitting on the window sill. The caller advised one of the juveniles was in a black shirt and pants and the other was in a blue shirt. An investigation is pending.
May 17
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Harley Mussetter, 28, Greenfield, was arrested for failure to appear and failure to comply with court orders.
Justin Guysinger, 30, South Salem, was arrested for failure to appear.
INCIDENTS
A caller advised he just went past a location where a 2- to 3-year-old-girl was wearing only a diaper with no adults around. The caller was requested to stay with the child until a unit could arrive.
A caller and hospital security advised they located what appeared to be a “shake and bake” meth lab by the dumpster on the south side of the hospital. The item was recovered. Security requested a unit at the listed location for an investigation, and juveniles were removed into custody of Child Protective Services.
A caller advised that she was at the large playground by the high school with her grandson and there were teenagers there making her uncomfortable with racial comments and that she would like to see an officer. The juveniles were advised accordingly.
May 18
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Jacquelin Stonerock, 43, Greenfield, was arrested for failure to appear.
Jeramie Hester, 35, Washington C.H., was arrested for failure to appear.
Hayden Smith, 19, Greenfield, was arrested for failure to appear.
Karen Hester, 56, Greenfield, was issued a citation for failure to yield.
INCIDENTS
The police department received a call from a motorists stating someone backed out of their driveway into her car in the 200 block of Edgewood Avenue while she was driving down the road. Statements were taken.
A caller stated her friend fell in the water meter hole behind Flagway 16 and her leg was messed up. An ambulance requested. A female was transported to Adena Greenfield Medical Center. The Greenfield Street Department responded to cover the hole.
A caller advised that someone had struck Linda Hatfield’s motor vehicle and took off. She advised she had a license plate number. An investigation is pending.
A caller advised that she was notified by her cashier that a male was calling the Family Dollar store and sexually harassing her, as well as telling her he had already been in the store. The caller advised she was unsure who the male was and only had the number that he was calling from. She requested an officer go to the store to speak with the cashier so a report could be made. An investigation s pending.
May 19
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Phillip Ward, 55, South Salem, was arrested on a warrant from the Ross County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear. He was placed in jail to await transport.
Albert Baker III, 56, of Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and issued a trash citation.
Matthew Pollock, 33, of Leesburg, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
INCIDENT
The police deceived a 911 transfer call from the resident in the 100 block of the Janice Street Colony Apartments stating that someone was trying to get into her apartment banging on her door. She further advised she heard a scratching noise. A police unit was dispatched and the noise turned out to be the resident’s cat.
A caller advised he was in route after being notified that their truck doors were open. The caller requesting an officer to meet with him at the plant to check things out. An officer conducted walk through with a keyholder employee.The left door was open, but everything checked out OK.
May 20
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
Robert Throckmorton Jr., 32, of Middletown, arrested on a warrant for a violation of court orders.
Eric Morrison, 44, of Greenfield, arrested on a warrant for a violation of court orders.
INCIDENT
The Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire District reported it was in route to a bridge by Save-A-Lot and advised someone was trapped underneath the bridge and under the water. Through the joint effort of several officers, three juveniles who were in the water were rescued. The juveniles were then assessed by EMS and one was transported to Adena Greenfield Medical Center by EMS
May 21
ARRESTS/CITATIONS
George Walker was arrested for domestic violence, assault and child endangerment.
Caleb Caplinger, 25, of Washington C.H., was arrested for two counts of child endangerment, criminal damaging, unlawful restraint, operation in willful or wanton disregard, and failure to provide insurance.
INCIDENTS
The police department received a 911 transfer call from the Highland County Sheriff’s Office that was disconnected. The sheriff’s office said there was a female on the phone yelling. A police officer was dispatched and two parties were warned.
A caller said there was a snapping turtle on her sidewalk and she was terrified of it and couldn’t go outside. The turtle was released in Paint Creek.
Adena Security called advising they had a patient who brought drugs into the hospital and he was told to notify us to take possession of the substance.
Law enforcement was requested to assist with traffic in the area due to a 92-year-old male who had fallen in an attempt to get his mail. The caller advised that subject was in the roadway and multiple cars had almost struck him. Emergency personnel responded to the scene.
