McClain linksters 4th at FAC match

The McClain girls placed fourth and the Hillsboro girls placed fifth when Miami Trace and Washington C.H. hosted the third Frontier Athletic Conference golf match of the season Wednesday at The Greens.

Aubrey Arnold of Jackson was the individual medalist, shooting 42.

Teams scores were: Chillicothe 197, Jackson 225, Miami Trace 231, McClain 239, Hillsboro 251 and Washington C.H. 275.

Wednesday’s results left the FAC standings as follows: Chillicothe 15-0, Jackson 12-3, McClain 7-8, Hillsboro 6-9, Miami Trace 5-10 and Washington C.H. 0-15.

Individual scores for McClain were: Abbie Lovett 52, Kaylin Sterling 53, MacKenzie Corbin 66, Jacolyn Bolender 68, Avery Murphy 74 and Kate Barrett 78.

Individual scores for Hillsboro were: Hailey Phillips 51, Emma Yochum 53, Kathryn Cluff 68 and Reagan Leeth 79.

For Chillicothe. Isabella Fischer shot 43, Julie LeMaster 49, Meryl Haller 58, Mikayla Spaulding 49, Addison Smith 56 and Maddy Ward 72.

For Jackson, after Arnold’s 42, it was Schuler Murray 59, Taylor Mullins 57, Sabella McCarty 75 and Autumn Crabtree 67.

For Miami Trace, Emily Reeves shot 48, followed by Hannah Cummins 63, Audrey Mullins 59, Izzy Deskins 61, Jordan Cockrill 81 and Cailee Cox 81.

For Washington C.H., Faith Wynne shot 51 followed by Claudia Fuller 76, Gwen Duncan 74, Alyson Foster 74 and Tevyn Carter 78
