The slate of candidates and issues is set for the general election in Highland County that will be held Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Republican Justin Harsha will be running unopposed for Hillsboro mayor.

Dawson Barreras will be running unopposed for Hillsboro city auditor.

Randalyn C. Worley will be running unopposed for Hillsboro law director.

William C. Randolph is running unopposed for judge of Hillsboro Municipal Court.

Donald R. Davy, Brenda Losey, Mary Ellen McCurry and Carlos Ooten will vie for three available seats for Greenfield Village Council at large.

Jeremy Kibbey will be running unopposed for Highland mayor.

Shawn C. Priest and Rita J. Smith-Daulton will be running for Leesburg mayor.

Kenny Worley will be running unopposed for Leesburg Village Council.

Terry Burden and James Burton will be running for Lynchburg mayor. Marty Bailey and Chris Toller are running for two available seats on Lynchburg Village Council.

Jim Allen is running unopposed for Mowrystown mayor. Rachel Byrd is running unopposed for a seat on Mowrystown Village Council.

Sandy Free and Eric R. Wise are running for two open seats on the Greenfield Exempted Village Board of Education.

State Issue 1 would amend the constitution of the state of Ohio to establish an individual right to one’s own reproductive medical treatment, including but not limited to abortion.

State Issue 2 would commercialize, regulate, legalize and tax the adult use of cannabis.

Issue 10 would replace two existing levies for the benefit of the Lynchburg Area Joint Fire and Ambulance District.

Issue 9 is an additional levy for the benefit of the Highland County North Joint Fire and Ambulance District.

Issue 12 is a replacement of a tax for the benefit of the village of Lynchburg for the payment of salaries of permanent or part-time police.

Issue 8 is an additional tax for the benefit of the Eastern Joint Fire and EMS District.

Issue 12 is a renewal of a tax for the benefit of the village of Mowrystown for current expenses that will collect $16,000 annually.

Issue 6 is an additional tax for the benefit of Madison Township for police protection that will collect $387,000 annually.

Issue 3 is a renewal of a tax for the benefit of Brushcreek Township for the purpose of maintaining and operating township cemeteries that will collect $21,000 annually.

Issue 4 is an additional tax for the benefit of Brushcreek Township for the purpose of providing and maintaining emergency firefighting services that will collect $60,000 annually.

Issue 14 is a replacement of an existing levy and an increase for Children Services in Highland County.

Issue 16 will permit the sale of wine and mixed beverages by Hillsboro Event Center LLC.

Issue 17 will permit the sale of wine and mixed beverages by Hillsboro Event Center LLC.

Issue 7 is a renewal of a tax for the benefit of Salem Township for maintaining the cemetery that will collect $12,000 annually.

Issue 11 is a renewal of a tax for the benefit of the village of Highland for current expenses that will collect $4,000 annually.
