Three awarded Farm Bureau Scholarships

Highland County Farm Bureau has announced that Meredith Oglesby has been chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship from Highland County Farm Bureau. Ryan Matthews and Julie Tidwell will receive $500 scholarships each.

Oglesby, a 2016 graduate of Hillsboro High school, is the daughter of Tom and Lisa Oglesby of Hillsboro. She has applied and been accepted at The Ohio State University where she will pursue a degree in agricultural communications.

Matthews, a 2016 graduate of Fairfield High School, is the son of Dr. Rindy and Candy Matthews of Leesburg. He will continue his studies at Wilmington College and pursue a degree in animal science/pre-vet.

Tidwell, is the daughter of Kevin and Jo Heather Arnett of Hillsboro. She is currently a student at Wilmington College where she is majoring in agriculture education.

The Highland County Farm Bureau Board of Directors wishes the best of luck to each of these young people as they continue their education.
