The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Dec. 24

ACCIDENT

At approximately 4:23 p.m., the police department responded to the area of Harry Sauner Road near Roberts Lane for a report of a two-car crash. Upon arrival it was determined that Angela Fulkerson, 36, of Hillsboro, and John Paul, 47, of Hillsboro, were both traveling eastbound on Harry Sauner Road. Fulkerson’s vehicle struck Paul’s vehicle in a rear-end type collision after starting to proceed before traffic had started to move. Fulkerson was cited for an improper start. No injuries were reported on scene.

Dec. 27

INCIDENT/ARREST

At approximately 6:15 p.m., the police department responded to the 100 block of Fenner Avenue for a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, the primary aggressor could not be determined. Bradley Camp, 25, of Washington C.H., and Yenisel Quarles, 24, of Hillsboro, were both cited for disorderly conduct and were separated for the night.

Dec. 28

INCIDENT/ARREST

Approximately 8:34 a.m., the police department received a call from a business in the 1200 block of North High Street for a report of a theft. The business was able to provide a physical and vehicle description for the suspect. Officers were able to perform a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle and made contact with Robert Skaggs, 48, of West Portsmouth. Officers recovered the stolen property and located drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Skaggs was charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. He had an outstanding warrant and was transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

Dec. 30

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Robert Webb, 57, of Leesburg, was cited for speed.

Ethan Lawrence, 32, of Wilmington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
