SATH Turkey Bingo is Nov. 19
The Hillsboro-based Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped (SATH) program will host its 19th annual Turkey Bingo Soup Supper event Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Hillsboro Elementary Gymnasium.

The 19th annual Sweetheart Charity Ball will be held Saturday, Feb. 11 at Roberts Centre in Wilmington by Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped (SATH) volunteers to benefit KAMP Dovetail.

Lions’ candy stores open Monday
There will be three locations — one in Hillsboro and two in Lynchburg — this year for the Lynchburg Lions Club’s annual Candy Sale with each location planning to open Monday.
Build A Buddy event being held by senior center
While there will be no actual event, just in time for Christmas the Highland County Senior Citizens Center is offering Build A Buddy stuffed animal kits that can be ordered or picked up at the center until early the morning of Dec. 23.
