The Republican Party is holding its national convention in Cleveland next week, and the Democratic Party will follow suit the following week in Philadelphia. The Times-Gazette will have them both covered, including front page coverage as well as special full page coverage on inside pages.
Civitas Media, parent company of The Times-Gazette, is sending three reporters to cover the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, including: Lora Abernathy, Civitas director of editorial digital strategies and editor of Salt magazine; Craig J. Orosz, photo editor for The Lima News; and Craig Kelly, reporter for The Lima News.
Similarly, Civitas reporters, led by Bill O’Boyle, news columnist for the Wilkes-Barre (Pa.) Times Leader, will be covering the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
Our special daily pages running Tuesday through Friday for both the Republican and Democratic conventions will include information about local or regional delegates, schedules and conversations about what delegates think on key topics, photo coverage of the conventions and more.
With the presumptive nominees, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton, engaged in a tight race nationally and running neck-and-neck in most polls of key swing states, including Ohio, the conventions will provide each candidate with a platform to share their visions for America and to make an important impression on voters.
On Saturday, The Times-Gazette will feature a special front page “by the numbers” preview look at the GOP convention. Join us throughout the convention for up-to-date coverage, both in print and online at www.timesgazette.com.
