The legacy of community involvement and financial support for a myriad of projects in Greenfield by Lowell and Sandra McNeil has been passed down to their daughter, Jennifer McNeil Kennedy, the Greenfield Rotary Club’s recipient of this year’s Paul Harris Fellowship.

Eagles give SATH $5,000

The Greenfield Eagles Lodge #1325 gave a donation of $5,000 to KAMP Dovetail recently at the annual SATH Sweetheart Charity Ball. “The Eagles have been a very supportive of KAMP Dovetail for many years,” said SATH Executive Director Linda Allen. Terry Karnes, secretary for the Eagles, expressed the members’ appreciation for all the work SATH does for some very special children.

Lent always begins with Ash Wednesday, which fell on Feb. 14 this year. Many Christians engage in habits of self-denial during Lent. They give up certain things for the weeks of Lent to focus themselves on their relationship with God. I’ve known Christians who give up being on social media, or give up eating certain things like chocolate or meat, or give up food in general for certain meal times or longer periods of time. This is called fasting.
