The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the annual Hospital Quality Star Ratings for 2023 and Highland District Hospital (HDH) was awarded four stars, putting it among the top performing hospitals in the country.

Area 937 holding rummage sale

A large rummage sale to benefit the Area 937 Community Outreach will be held Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8387 S.R. 73, about a mile and a half north of Lowe’s in Hillsboro.

Papa John’s opening Tuesday

Jimmy Phelps, manager of the new Papa John’s at 233 N. High St. in Hillsboro, displays the first pizza out of the store’s ovens that went Thursday to The Times-Gazette. Papa John’s received clearance Friday to open to the public on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
