The Washington Blue Lions hosted the Hillsboro Indians for a Frontier Athletic Conference game Tuesday. The hosts won the game, 10-1.

After a very disappointing series loss to a bad Mets squad, the Cincinnati Reds go right into playing the Brewers, an NL Central opponent that has dominated our club in years past. I love scoreboard watching toward the end of the season, but one thing we all need to understand is the importance of all 162 games.

Lady Tigers turn tables on Blue Lions

On a partly to mostly overcast, chilly Wednesday, the Washington Lady Blue Lion varsity softball team hosted the McClain Lady Tigers. It was the second meeting of the longtime rivals in three days. On Monday, April 1, Washington visited Mitchell Park in Greenfield and won, 11-7.

The Washington Blue Lions hosted the McClain Tigers for game two of the season series on Wednesday in a windy, cold and rainy Frontier Athletic Conference baseball showdown. After defeating the Tigers 7-1 on Monday, Washington won again Wednesday, 9-1.

Hillsboro High School’s Tate Davis has received honorable mention on the Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association Division II Boys Basketball All-Ohio teams. The 5-10 Davis averaged 15.5 points per game. He was the only Division II player from Highland County named to the list.
