Whitoeak junior Landen Eyre claimed a state runner-up finish Saturday at the 2023 Division III OHSAA Cross Country Championships.
Red hot Bengals, end of an era for Cincinnati fan
Joe Burrow thrives in primetime games and displayed his skills on Sunday Night Football this week which led to a Bengals victory over the Buffalo Bills. Time and time again, No.9 9 shows the world that he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league on national television. Cincinnati has now won six straight home prime-time games, which is quite the opposite narrative of what I was used to growing up.
Whiteoak’s Eyre regional champion
Whiteoak will continue to be a known name at the state cross country meet next Saturday as their talented duo of Landen Eyre and Weston Blair ran incredible races Saturday at the Division III regional meet at Pickerington North High School to punch their ticket for the state championships.

Bengals win and Joe Burrow back under center
Can I get a Ric Flair “WOOO?” What a game! As soon as I saw that Burrow was finally able to take snaps under center, it was clear that he was finally healthy. This offense came alive and the playbook completely opened up, which proved that it was a health issue all along.
Eyre District Runner of Year
Whiteoak High School junior Landen Eyre has been named the Division III Southeast District Runner of the Year. Eyre is 805-0 on the season against southeast district competition and is now a three-time district athlete of the year in cross country, coach Doug Hughes said. He will compete in the regional meet Saturday.
