Ransboro scouts receive Ohio Elks funds

Rainsboro Boy Scouts Troop 7316/5316 recently received a $2,000 donation from the Ohio Elks for community projects and a summer camp. In addition, Jackson Sears of Rainsboro Cub Scouts 5316 received a $1,000 merit award from the Ohio Elks recognizing his community service. The money will be spent on clothing for children in need at Rainsboro Elementary. The liaison between the scouts and the Elks was Dan Pearce of the Wilmington Elks.

Premier Showmen 4-H Club elects new officers

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club held its officer elections for 2024 on March 11 at the Highland County Fairgrounds. These individuals had to tell the club members why they felt they were qualified to hold the officer positions. The club then voted on whom they felt would best serve the group in these leadership positions. Arledges’ 54th anniversary

Kevin and Clara Arledge will celebrate their 54th wedding anniversary Wednesday, March 27. They were married March 27, 1970 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ by Dr. Paul Jones. They are the parents of Melinda Sue Johnson of West Union and Denise Ann Adams of Leesburg. They have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
